No Ka 'Oi Beer Release

Originally, No Ka `Oi, which is Hawaiian for “The Best” was brewed as a birthday surprise for Anchorage Brewing Company’s owner, Gabe Fletcher and released first in Alaska in May 2016. Now as a gift for Jolly Pumpkin fans that reside outside of Michigan and Alaska, No Ka `Oi will ship nationally beginning this week.

No Ka `Oi is a saison brewed with raspberry puree, lime peel and Michigan hops then aged in oak for 7 months. It clocks in at 6.3% ABV and 35 IBU.   Originally released only in Alaska and Michigan, this release of No Ka `Oi will reach the entire Jolly Pumpkin foot print.

The relationship between Jolly Pumpkin Chief Squeegee Operator, Ron Jeffries, and Anchorage Brewing Company Owner and Brewer, Gabe Fletcher, goes back to 2010. It began the way any transcontinental brewer relationship does, with emails, lengthy text conversations at odd times all with the desire to make wonderful and unique beer.

Since Anchorage Brewing Company opened in 2014 the bond of these two purveyors of wild and righteous brews has resulted in several collaboration brews with visits to and from the last frontier.

No Ka `Oi is a testament to the friendship shared, with bright notes of raspberry and citrus, a light body and a dry oak finish. Released in 750 ml bottles as well on draft, No Ka `Oi, pairs best with those you consider “The Best”.

Cheers and Mahalo!
