Code of Conduct

It is the policy of the Company that unlawful harassment of or discrimination toward staff members or applicants for employment in any form by anyone, including customers, suppliers or vendors, is unacceptable conduct which will not be tolerated.  This includes any harassment and discrimination based on race, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or status in any group protected by federal or state law.

             It is the Company's belief that staff members anticipate a working environment that is free from unlawful discrimination and harassment.  It is our policy and objective to maintain a place of employment for our staff members that is free of conduct that is unlawfully discriminatory, abusive or offensive.

      The law specifically defines sexual harassment as unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or other verbal or physical conduct or communication of a sexual nature, especially where:

•      Submission to such conduct is made either explicitly or implicitly a term or condition of employment;

•      Submission to or rejection of such conduct is used as the basis for decisions affecting an individual’s employment; or

•      Such conduct has the purpose or effect of creating an intimidating, hostile, or offensive working environment.

COMPLAINT PROCEDURE AND INVESTIGATION

          We ask and encourage any staff member who has been made uncomfortable by the actions of, or feels that they have experienced unlawful harassment or discrimination, including but not limited to any of the conduct listed above, by any supervisor, management official, other staff member, customer, client, supplier, outside vendor, or any other person in connection with employment at the Company to, as soon as possible, report the conduct through the grievance procedure set forth in this Handbook.  If it is the Production Manager who is the harasser, then speak with the Company’s HR manager or anyone else in management that you feel comfortable speaking with about the problem.  The Company will promptly investigate all complaints of unlawful harassment or discrimination regardless of when they are reported, but it is best to report a problem to the Company as soon as possible.

            The Company will issue appropriate disciplinary action up to and including termination, or other remedies, if it determines that this policy was violated by another employee, or customer, vendor, or supplier.

             All reports will be kept confidential to the maximum extent possible to permit the Company to conduct an investigation and issue appropriate disciplinary action. We will strive to respond to complaints promptly and resolve concerns as soon as we reasonably can.

             The Company prohibits any retaliation because a staff member makes a complaint or participates in the investigation of a complaint under this policy.
