This is the third collaboration we’ve brewed with our friends at Monkish Brewing Company. We went far outside the box with this one! This saison was brewed with raw sugar, green lentils, sweet and bitter orange peel, and a funky homemade curry spice blend (cumin, ginger, mustard seed, peppercorns, coriander, and fenugreek), giving each and every sip its own unique complexities! Aromas of brown sugar, oak, and funk in the nose. Tastes of oak, maple syrup, and just a hint of spices pairs well with the subtle funk, and light tartness.

It’s a Jeep thing.  You wouldn’t understand.
Or maybe I should say it’s a Henry and Ron thing.
Maybe, then you would.

We last left our heroes vagabonding around the country
In a custom, tricked out Winnebago,
Filling crowlers topped with coasters

And now look at them

Each bought Jeeps
And built rock crawling, urban bug out
black out escape vehicles
Each in their own way
No help from the other
What has happened to our heroes?
Have they lost what little they ever had?

Ron visited Henry’s brewhouse, again
And again, Ron ruined Henry’s brewhouse

Warped the kettle with scorched lentils
Clogged the pipework
Positively jammed full of lentils
Yeast wondering
And choosing not to ferment

Henry’s text to Ron the next week;
“You broke my brewery”
Ron’s text back;
“Really?”

Stay tuned for episode 4…
Maybe I do understand, Mr. Jeep driver….
